It\u2019s within easy reach for locals &#8212; extending from East Ryde to Pennant Hills and West Chatswood. It\u2019s a great place for a day out with the family; there are lots of picnic areas to choose from, including those that offer picnic tables, barbecues, children\u2019s play equipment, flat grassy areas and easy access to walking tracks and places to ride your bike. Whatever activities you fancy, you\u2019re bound to find a perfect place to picnic for the day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019ve polished off the picnic, you can hit the walking tracks to explore the park\u2019s bushland, hire a boat from the Lane Cove Boatshed to row along the quiet Lane Cove River or cycle along the park\u2019s roads. There\u2019s also a fire trail between Pennant Hills and West Pymble, where you can ride your bike if you\u2019re feeling more adventurous. The park\u2019s historic sites are best explored along the self-guided Heritage walk. Pick up a brochure from the Lane Cove park office. Along with a A$7 per vehicle fee for entry, these are the following fees for camping:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Camping fees:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Powered sites: 2 adults from A$39 per day, A$234 per week. Extra person A$10 per day. Children under 12 are free.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unpowered sites: 2 adults from A$37 per day, A$222 per week. Extra person A$10 per day.
