Goodgod Small Club

Goodgod Small Club (53-55 Liverpool Street, Sydney) — once the back room of a Spanish restaurant on Liverpool Street, Goodgod Small Club took over its present spot in 2010 and is now a fully fledged club, bar and restaurant. The Dancetaria offers an intimate club environment which hosts a diverse range of musical events, from house, disco, techno and bass nights to live funk, reggae, psychedelic and hip-hop groups. The Front Bar has both booths and table seating, where customers can dine on American-inspired food from Goodgod’s in-house kitchen.

FBi Social

FBi Social (248 William Street, Kings Cross, Sydney) – this venue is another Sydney area hangout for indie rock fans (where various live shows are held). In addition to these musical events, FBi Social also holds comedy nights.

Elsewhere Bar

Elsewhere Bar (1/23 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise, Queensland) – another favored Surfers Paradise hangout spot, this one books various independent rock acts, as well as hold electronic dance music DJing sessions. It even exhibits locally-made artwork.

East (1/88 Surf Parade, Broadbeach , Queensland) — featuring three unique bars, a private lounge, main room and a central main stage with state of the art audio and visual technology, East Broadbeach is a popular multi-level Asian-themed venue for diners, partygoers and VIP guests on the Gold Coast.

Club Liv

Club Liv (Ground Floor/26 Orchid Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Queensland) – this is a major clubbing venue at this part of the Gold Coast, boasting the world’s largest LED Matrix and NEXO Sound System (something normally seen only at festivals and concert halls).

Because of this area’s status as a major Australian vacation destination, Club Liv is open throughout the week. Friday and Saturday Nights see DJs cut up the dance floor, while there are also weekday theme nights, including Industry Monday, Chocolate Ladies Night Tuesday, Bottle Poppin Wednesdays and Ladies First Thursdays.

Club 77 (77 William Street, Kings Cross, Sydney) – this is a trendy watering hole for Sydney’s 20-something fans of Electro House and other dance tunes. Because this venue is rather small, club goers are advised to go early to guarantee admission.

Chinese Laundry offers the ultimate club experience: three rooms and an outside courtyard, state of the art NEXO sound systems and the freshest, hottest dance music and DJs that Sydney, Australia and the world has to offer!

Bulletin Place

Bulletin Place (Upstairs, 10-14 Bulletin Place, Sydney) – located just behind Circular Quay, this is a rustic neighborhood bar which serves quality spirits, cocktails, beer and wine. A number of patrons that find themselves here are spillovers from the nearby café “Cabrito Coffee Traders” and wine bar Tapavino. The fact that this place doesn’t look like a typical yuppie bar seems to be the main draw here.

Bondi Hardware

Bondi Hardware (39 Hall Street, Bondi Beach, Sydney) – this bar and restaurant’s name makes sense, given the décor (exposed brick walls, wooden paneling and displays of old tools). The menus are written on graph paper with hardware imagery and mounted on wooden boards to carry the theme. Rows of long benches and high tables are found in the interior, plus window seats and a couple of tables outside — providing the perfect spot to watch the people of Bondi pass by. There’s also a courtyard, which fills up during the Summer.
